Concluding Activities:

Plan A Christmas Story theme party.  Create 1940s decorations (cutouts of leg lamp, BB gun, Aunt Clara’s rabbit costume, the Bumpus dogs, etc.)  Serve a traditional Christmas meal like Mrs. Parker’s (turkey, dressing, etc. hint: TV Dinners heated in a microwave) or consider a Chinese meal (the results of the Bumpus dogs’ mischief – a microwave egg roll dinner).  For entertainment, show clips of the movie or have the students create a 1940s Trivia game.
